Ground-floor apartment A101 in Building 1 of The Hills Residence

The apartment covers 90 m², of which 40 m² is a private garden terrace, and it sits at street level in Building 1 of The Hills Residence, in Simpson Bay on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten.

The bedroom is closed off from the living space. It holds a king-size bed, and the closet comes with hangers so you can unpack properly. Curtains block the early sun when you want to sleep in.

The living room has a sofa that turns into a bed for a third person, along with a dining table and a flat-screen TV. The furnished terrace is on the same level as the apartment, so you walk into the garden without a single step and can take breakfast or dinner outside.

Cooking is easy here. The kitchen has a hob under an extractor hood, a dishwasher, a fridge, an oven and a microwave. For breakfast there is an espresso machine, plus a toaster, a blender and a kettle. Plates, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided, and the cupboards also hold wine and champagne glasses.

Air conditioning and high-speed Wi-Fi run throughout, and a washer-dryer combo means you can pack light. Beach towels, bath towels, bed linen and bathroom essentials are supplied, together with a hair dryer, an iron and an ironing board. On request, the team can set up a high chair and a baby cot.

The front door opens with an electronic lock. Inside, the apartment is also fitted with detectors for smoke and carbon monoxide.

The rooftop pool and shared facilities of The Hills Residence

The swimming pool is on the roof of the residence and looks out across the lagoon. It opens daily from 8 am to 8 pm, and sun loungers are set around the water.

An elevator serves the building and residents have private parking. Cameras watch the outside of the buildings.

A concierge service handles the practical details of the holiday. The team can arrange a rental car, reserve a table at a restaurant or book an excursion somewhere on Sint Maarten.

Simpson Bay around the residence

From A101 you are within easy reach of supermarkets and marinas, and the bars and restaurants of Simpson Bay are close as well. A short drive takes you to Simpson Bay beach or Maho beach, and Princess Juliana International Airport is also only minutes away by car.

The rest of the island is easiest to explore with a rental car. From the residence you can drive to Philipsburg and walk its boardwalk, or head to Marigot and the beaches on the French side.

Booking A101 as a vacation rental

Arrival is possible from 4 pm, and the apartment should be vacated by 11 am on departure day. With a maximum of three guests, A101 suits a couple, a pair of friends or a small family.

During your holiday you can book a mid-stay housekeeping visit and ask for extra towels. Since A101 also has its own kitchen and washer-dryer, it is easy to live in for a weekend or for several weeks.

Before you travel, the team sends directions to The Hills Residence and the instructions for entering the apartment. Someone from the team meets you when you arrive and stays reachable until you leave.
